Dr. Vivian B. Johnson's Professional Legacy
Dr. Johnson, PharmD, MBA, FASHP, is a nationally recognized healthcare executive with 40 years of leadership experience in pharmacy innovation, organizational strategy, and community health. She has spent her career strengthening systems, serving communities, and elevating standards of care across Dallas County and beyond.
Most recently, Dr. Johnson served as Senior Vice President of Community Health Services and Senior Pharmacy Advisor at Parkland Health in Dallas, Texas. In this role, she oversaw the Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA), value-based payment initiatives, community health worker programs, and served as the authorizing officer for the 340B program, a role critical in ensuring medication access for vulnerable communities.
Her career also includes her tenure as Senior Vice President of Clinical Services at Parkland Health, where she directed departments including pharmacy, radiology, respiratory, clinical dietary, physical medicine and rehabilitation, and laboratory services. Under her leadership, Parkland became a national model for pharmacy innovation and community engagement.
